How to adjust an AnnyX dog harness to fit well?

Following up on our page page about Y shaped AnnyX harnesses, we want to expand on what an AnnyX harness fit looks like. My K9 offers you a few guidelines to help you achieve the perfect fit for your dog.

When you are in doubt how to adjust the AnnyX harness you have ordered to be the right fit for your dog, feel free to contact us!

AnnyX FUN, PROTECT and OPEN model

  1. The Y should be on the sternum: the bone you can feel in the front of the dog's chest. In case the dog pulls or lunges, the harness should press on the sternum bone. That way, there is no discomfort or injury to softer parts. If the front ring of the harness is fit too high, enlarge the neck straps by shifting the slip lock buckles down. Not too low, because it will interfere with the dog's natural gait.
  2. Chest strap should be sitting on the ribs. You should be able to fit two fingers between the harness and the dog's body. This allows for some room when the dog moves. It is also more comfortable. On the other hand, an overly loose harness may also interfere with the dog's movement. To maximize the chest strap length, you may carefully shift the slip lock buckles under the black rubber bands.
  3. Strap between the front legs should be long enough for unimpeded freedom of movement.
  4. When the harness is pulled, the chest strap should sit on the last ribs, not on the soft tummy.
  5. Important: Check each of the above mentioned positions when the harness is pulled to avoid any hampering.
