What is a Half Check or Slip collar?
A Half Check Collar is a Martingale style correction collar that is ideal for training, provides excellent control and does not need to be resized for each fitting. 4Kyon's customised limited slip dog collars enable control while preventing the choking effect of a slip collar and are excellent collars for training your dog.
Are Limited Slip collars Easy and Safe to use?
It is very easy to put on and take off a half check or slip collar and a correctly sized martingale dog collar will prevent the dog backing out of his/hers collar. Our slip collars keep your dog's head from slipping out of the collar when walking or when your dog gets too excited. This Martingale style dog collar is made with two loops. The larger loop slips onto the dog's neck, and a lead is clipped to the ring on the smaller loop. When the dog pulls, the tension on the lead pulls the small loop taut, making the large loop smaller and tighter on the neck to prevent escape.
Your dog's coat and comfort in mind!
4Kyon slip collars are, just like Martingale collars, also great for dogs that have a lot of hair or heavy manes as the collar will lay looser when there is no pressure/lead attached to it. This means there will be less of a "collar mark" left on to the coat.
Our half check dog collars are made from soft and durable polypropylene webbing and soft neoprene padding for comfort around your dog's neck. Reflective piping for night time safety is optional at 4Kyon.
