What is a half check collar (Martingale style collar)?
It's a type of dog collar that provides more control over your dog without that choking effect of a slip collar. These style of collars are extensively used in training and they help to keep your dog's head from slipping through the collar during walks or when your dog gets too excited. A half check collar has a loop. When the dog tries to pull, the tension on the lead pulls the loop taut, which makes the collar smaller and tighter on the neck, thus helping to prevent escape. When the collar is properly fitted, it will be comfortably loose without your dog noticing until beginning to pull.
Our embroidered half check dog collars feature 2 welded stainless steel O-rings (will not rust!). Personalised lead is fully neoprene padded.
Made of soft neoprene (as used in wetsuits) and reinforced with double layer of UV-resistant polypropylene webbing for extra strength. Neoprene is easy to clean, quick to dry and waterproof! It is also non-porous which drastically reduces the odour that traditional collars retain. Perfect for water loving dogs!
Reflective piping is optional for night time safety. A safe choice your dog is guaranteed to like.
All collars and leads are machine washable (30°C) Do not tumble dry.
All of our personalised orders are usually shipped with PostNL within 1 to 2 weeks after purchase. AnnyX Harnesses are usually shipped within 1 to 5 working days when in stock. If not in stock we will contact you about estimated time of delivery.
We deliver via PostNL and in special circumstances other couriers. We also require a physical delivery address (not a PO Box) as items delivered by courier will require a signature.
